GANPATIPULE

Ganpatipule is a small town located in Ratnagiri district on the Konkan coast of Maharashtra. 


Ganpatipule is one of the most spectacular beaches along the konkan coast and an idyllic gateway that attracts peace seekers, beach lovers and pilgrims alike.
Aside from its clean beach and clean water, Ganpatipule is rich in flora, including mangroves and coconut palms. Here we can leave the hectic world behind as you laze around on golden sands or explore the many trails from the beach.
400 years old Ganpati image at Ganpatipule is said to have sprung up from the hill. The temple is at the base of the hill, and pilgrims walk around the hill as a mark of respect.



TRAVEL BY ROAD
Its 375 km. from Mumbai, 331 km from Pune and 144 km from Kolhapur.

TRAVEL BY RAIL
There is no official railway station of Ganpatipule. The nearest is Ratnagiri railway station and from Ratnagiri station you can hire bus , taxi or auto for Ganpatipule. 

BEST TIME TO VISIT
Winter is the most pleasant season. The climatic condition is humid at Ganpatipule.

Prachin Konkan - an incredible museum:
It's a  natural museum. It displays the incredible culture of Konkan and describes its origin. It is 20 km from the temple. 


Jaigad fort: Jaigad fort is on a cliff, at the entrance of Sangameshwar river just 35 km from ganpatipule. This 17th century fort offers a commanding view of the sea and an unique view of the Konkan village life.
